Emergency help

People who leave an abusive relationship often arrive with only the clothes on their backs and little or no money. Helping Hands provides the following emergency help:
  • Shelter
  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Peer Counseling
  • Transportation
  • Job hunting assistance
  • Apartment search assistance
  • Assistance with furnishing a new apartment

In addition, Helping Hands works with the whole community and provides referrals to other agencies that help with other emergency needs.
